Painter: Cristina Platita

You can do some damage when you ask for opportunities via Facebook. Nestled up a set of leafy stairs was a stage that was a living room that may have been a bedroom that may have been a meditation room. On the floor was a canvas, and an artist ready to create a piece in front of a patient crowd. She painted with gallons and fingertips, creating a piece that could have easily been a mess, but instead was delicate but strong, random but perfectly planned, a thought seed blooming into an ocean on top of a perfectly lacquered piece of wood. Basically, it was magic and somehow, someway, Facebook of all things led me to it.
